While Marvel Studios has not yet confirmed the hiring of Ben Kingsley as one of the villains for Iron Man 3, end of the first trilogy of "Golden Avenger" published by Marvel Comics, came confirmation of hiring another known actor for the film: Guy Pearce (Los Angeles - Forbidden City, Amnesia and The King's Speech) will be the geneticist Aldrich Killian, one of the creators of the extremis virus, which is the motto of the new production plot.

The cast will bring back Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark), Don Cheadle (James Rhodes), Gwynelt Paltrow (Pepper Potts), Guy Pearce (Aldrich Killian) and Ben Kingsley was announced but not yet officially confirmed. The premiere is scheduled for May 3, 2013, but before the Iron Man will be in The Avengers, which opens on 27 April.
Iron Man was created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and Don Heck in 1963 in the journal Tales of Suspense 39, and since then is published by Marvel Comics. The character is a founding member of the Avengers.
