Nege kinders van die Garden Route Primary School barium in KwaNonqaba het Dinsdag die Craft Art Workshop saam met hul onderwyseres, Rochelle Erasmus, besoek. Hulle het aan n handwerksessie deelgeneem waarin hulle hul eie papierblomme gemaak het. Die klas was deur kunstenares Mary Hasse aangebied.
Die Craft Art Workshop barium verskaf werk- en opleidingspasie vir n aantal kunstenaars wat op die perseel n verskeidenheid produkte - van papier-mhgeskenke en -ornamente tot leergoedere, kralewerk en fynkuns - vervaardig.
Een van die kamers in die sentrum is nou vir opleiding ingerig, en tekenklasse sal ook tot aanvulling van die skole-uitreikprogram aangebied word. Verder het een van ons op-perseel-kunstenaars, Pearl van den Berg, onderneem om vyf plaaslike vroue te bemagtig deur hulle op te lei om hul eie kuns, en sodoende hul eie bron van inkomste, te skep.
