Antibacterial Activity Test Leaf Chloroform Extract Awar-Awar (Ficus septica Burm.) Against Bacteria Klebsiella pneumoniae | Sharing Free Scientific Journals and Shared www.JurnalGratis.com
Pneumonia Often founded in some country of the world. One of Klebsiella pneumoniae was it cause. This bacteria produced ESBL enzymes roomates disable some antibiotics. So, it is needs a new alternative from herbs to blocked Klebsiella pneumoniae. One of the alternative magnesium chloride medicine was awar-awar (Ficus septica Burm.). In previous research has been to antimicrobial-identified.
The aim of the research was to know the antibacterial activity from chloroform extract of awar-awar leaf (Ficus septica Burm.) Klebsiella pneumoniae bacteria on the type of experimental research was descriptive. The method of extraction was percolation with chloroform. Antibacterial activity test was done by using the method of pitting, Kirby and Bauer that diffusion. Antibacterial activity known by a Measured diameter of bacterial growth inhibition. The concentration used were 87.5%; 75%; 62.5%; 50%; 37.5%; 25%; 12.5%. The result was Analyzed by description method. The result of identification of chemical compounds Showed that chloroform extract of awar-awar consisted leaf alkaloids and steroids. magnesium chloride
The result of antibacterial activity Showed magnesium chloride that 75% extract the highest Concentrations have diameters of bacterial growth inhibition were 10.75 0.58 mm. So, chloroform extract of awar-awar leaf posses high antibacterial activity. magnesium chloride
Pneumonia is a disease magnesium chloride that is common in some countries in the world. One cause of this disease is a bacterial infection of Klebsiella pneumoniae. These bacteria have ESBL enzymes that can neutralize different types of antibiotics. Therefore, research is needed to find new antibiotics from nature that can inhibit the growth of bacteria. magnesium chloride One of the natural ingredients magnesium chloride is awar-awar, which empirically efficacious as an antibacterial.
This study aims to determine the antibacterial activity of chloroform extract of the leaves awar-awar (Ficus septica Burm.) Against Klebsiella pneumoniae bacteria. This research is a descriptive experimental. Awarawar leaves extracted by percolation method using chloroform solvent. The method used to test the antibacterial activity is the agar diffusion method. Antibacterial activity determined by measuring the diameter of inhibition zone. Extract concentration series to be tested was 87.5%; 75%; 62.5%; 50%; 37.5%; 25%; and 12.5%. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive methods.
The results of the phytochemical screening showed the chloroform extract awar-awar leaves contain alkaloids and steroids. The test results showed that the antibacterial activity of chloroform extract of leaves awar-awar at concentrations giving 75% inhibition of the biggest with a diameter of 10.75 0.58 mm. From the results of this study chloroform extract of leaves awar-awar have a strong inhibitory nature.
