Morelberry turpentine (Physalis angulata turpentine L.) Is a plant that contains citric acid, physalin terpenes turpentine / sterols, saponins, turpentine flavonoids and alkaloids. Flavonoids, alkaloids and terpenoids are semipolar molecules, the which can be fractionad by chloroform. To find out the effect of the extract a reseach has been conducted by using 6 groups of mice were roomates neutral group, positive group, negative group and three treated groups at the dosages of 0.07 mg / g BW, 0.37 mg / g BW and 1.86 mg / g BW. Carbon tetrachloride to induce hepatitis in mice was given at 2391 mg / kg BW. The result Showed that the use of CCl4 the caused fatty degeneration, necrosis and dilatation of the central vein. Chloroform fraction of 70% ethanol extract of the herb at 0.07 mg / g BW, SGOT and SGPT reduced concentration and negatively with group Significantly different at p <0.05. Histopathological examination Showed reduction of degeneration and necrosis of liver cells. At the dosage of 0.37 mg / g BW and 1.86 mg / g BW did not reduce SGOT and SGPT Concentrations and was not Significantly different with negative group. turpentine Histophatological examination did not show improvement.
Ceplukan (Physalis turpentine angulata L.) is a plant that contains citric acid, physalin terpenes turpentine / sterols, saponins, flavonoids and alkaloids. Flavonoids, alkaloids and terpenoids are semipolar molecules turpentine that can be fractionated with chloroform from 70% ethanol extract. To determine the effect of extracts of research has been conducted using 6 groups of mice which is a neutral group, the group of positive, negative and 3 treatment turpentine groups at doses of 0.07, 0.37 and 1.86 mg / g. Rats with carbon tetrachloride induced liver damage in mice at a dose of 2391 mg / kg. The results showed that the use of CCl4 causes the dissolved fat, necrosis of hepatocytes and central vein dilation. Fractions of chloroform extract of 70% ethanol turpentine at a concentration of 0.07 mg / g BW, causing a decrease in AST and ALT and significant differences occurred in the negative turpentine group as obtained ρ <0.05. Histopathologic examination showed a reduction in liver cell degeneration and necrosis. At doses of 0.37 and 1.86 mg / g can not lower AST and ALT and not significantly different when compared to the negative control group. Histopathologic examination showed no increase in SGPT and SGOT.
